North Sydney Boys High School will be hosting the NSW Environmental Education Conference (EEC) on behalf of the Northern Sydney Region. The EEC will be the committee's main project for the year and will take place instead of SEMPtember. As the main project for the year, planning for the EEC will involve everyone in the committee at one stage or other. To be considered a member of the environment committee, you must take part in the planning of the event. The project will involve a sub-projects occurring at the same time. Helping organise and plan for the EEC is something that looks great in on a resume or University application and is an opportunity to be part of something big.
I would like to remind everyone that if you put your name down, you are expected to positively contribute to the group and the committee. If you do not do anything productive, you're name will be taken off the list, you will not be counted as a member of the committee and will receive zero recognition for anything that you may have done. To be counted as a member of the environment committee and receive community service and/or enrichment hours, receive a badge and a service award at presentation day, you must be a part of at least one EEC group and contribute positively to it.
