About EnviroInspiro!
EnviroInspiro! is a video competition held annually and organised by NSW SRC. NSW SRC invites student teams in NSW public schools to create a 5 minute media presentation and a 2 page report to showcase their successful student-led environmental projects. Schools and student teams can win one of three major 'prizes' valued up to $3,000. Enviro Inspiro! is a great way for students to connect with their local community, have fun while learning and help improve the environment.
The deadline for entries to EnviroInspiro! 2011 is Friday 24th of June.
North Sydney Boys' High School's EnviroInspiro! 2011 entry is a combined project between the NSB SRC and Environment committees. We will be filming the Biodiversity project as part of this.

Weekly Reports:
Term 1
Week 6:
- Finalising the committee members and quick discussions of possible ideas.
Week 7:
- Discussion of what we could do as our video. The result was to look into biodiversity as it was the idea that Ms Hofler and Sunny Pak suggested. After school on Friday, we went to the Biodiversity group to see whether or not that idea was feasible.
Week 8:
- After talking to the Biodiversity group, we deemed it was not feasible as an effective video. We suggested a bin idea, but Ms Hofler soon told us afterwards that the 'wasteland' was going to be completely redone.
- On Friday afternoon, the camera arrived, and we started storyboarding.
Week 9:
- We began to film the 'before' scenes for the video.
Week 10:
- This week was all about writing the script, planning scenes as well as distributing small roles within the group. The group met promptly and immediately decided to work on the script.
- A special mention to Ansh who was kind enough to take footage of the horticulturist from the council while the group worked on the script.
- The camera was out of battery so further work on actually filming was impossible but there was a good progress made in regards to the script and ideas for later scenes.
- We further filmed the “before” scene and we also begun to write a speech
Term 2
Week 7
- We filmed vital scenes for the video, including the interview.
- We edited the video.
